If avoidant has deactivated, any way to get them back?
I have been with my partner 9 years. He is extremely stressed at work and I am going through the loss of my business due to changes in state regulations + learning of fertility issues at the same time (I am 35F with endometriosis, and have discovered I have extremely low egg reserve so basically need to either have kids ASAP or freeze my eggs). He also just got offered his dream job in a country he’s been in for the last year that I’m not allowed to live in, so I have been pressuring him lately to show me that I’m also a priority in his life rather than just his job since we’ve been long distance for the last 4 years due to his career.
Because of all of this, just before my 35th birthday when he was visiting he said that while I am his best friend and the most important person in his life, he doesn’t know if we should be together because we “aren’t aligned” (since I want to actually live in the same place as my partner, and he doesn’t want to have kids until he’s 40 - though I similarly do not want kids until I’m older, but I also don’t know what to do because of my biological clock + endo issues since I know I don’t NOT want to have kids so have been trying to figure out where he’s at). Given everything else I’m going through I naturally freaked out about this and he said he was also confused because even though his head thinks it’s probably the right thing it feels wrong in his heart, so he said we will take it up the next time he has time off (since he had to fly back). He would barely kiss me and has been very distant ever since. I strongly suspect he is avoidant, and am wondering if there is anything I can do to help him feel safe and not just run away, since I am worried that is what he is doing due to all the pressure we’ve been under lately with so much happening to us both right now.
He has always run away from difficult emotional conversations, and while we get along amazingly well and are otherwise extremely supportive partners, whenever I need a bit of reasurrance he has run away and this has built up resentment on both sides (him because I need reassurance, and me because he runs and leave me alone).
I need to know if he is a lost cause or if there is something I can do to bring him back and make us work on these things together. I have only recently learned about attachment styles and it’s been immensely insightful for learning about myself and my need for reassurance (I am AA) and him and his need for space (I think he is avoidant), so I’ve sort of been able to see things in our relationship in a new light and would love to work through that with him, but I’m not sure how to bring him out of his deactivation so we can actually talk about it (there is 0 chance I can just bring it up since he immediately shuts down any conversation about “us” and says he can’t handle anything other than work right now).
TLDR: avoidant partner has deactivated and thinks we should probably break up but is “confused”. Ultimately doesn’t want to talk about it right now. I’ve since learned about attachment styles and want to know if there is any point to holding onto hope that we can work through this, and if so what I can do to help bring him back from the brink/make him feel safe.

My 2 endings for Jujutsu Kaisen
So, I originally only had one ending that I thought would likely happen, with some slight variations baked into the theory, but chapter 257 inspired a second potential ending from me. With this in mind, there are some relevant things Gege’s said in the past about the endings Gege’s had planned, some of which are at odds or might even contradict my endings. Fact check me on what he’s said because I’m going off the dome on these things:
1) 3 (of the main characters) will live, 1 will die, or 1 will live, 3 will die. 2) Megumi’s fate is decided, Yuji’s fate is somewhat undecided, and Sukuna’s fate is even more up in the air than Yuji’s.
Now, onto my endings: Ending 1: Nobara and Gojo’s statuses can ultimately go either way. Yuji and Megumi fight Sukuna in his innate domain, Megumi sacrifices himself to save Yuji’s life, and Yuji beats Sukuna. This first part is largely the same as ending 2, but the next part is radically different. Yuji forces Sukuna to reenter Yuji’s body, and the epilogue shows a future with Yuji as the strongest sorcerer, perhaps of all time, mourning Megumi. This ending shows that Yuji has, over time, fully suppressed Sukuna’s soul, so much so that he can’t even talk, see, or do anything in Yuji’s body, and will never be able to ever again.
Ending 2: Nobara and Gojo’s are dead dead. Yuji and Megumi fight Sukuna in his innate domain, Megumi sacrifices himself to save Yuji’s life, or just dies during the Sukuna fight, and Yuji beats Sukuna. Yuji either lets Sukuna back into his own body or he kills Sukuna right there. Yuji emerges as the strongest sorcerer of all time, but he’s given into his cog mentality. Yuji chooses to split his soul into 10 fingers (and maybe 10 toes as well?), so that sorcerers, or whatever human wants the power to fight curses in the future, can use his powers to do so.
I think the first ending largely speaks for itself, but I could see some parts of it being controversial. For one, how would Megumi die when they’re fighting in Sukuna’s innate domain when Yuji didn’t die fighting in Sukuna’s innate domain? I think there could be multiple answers to this. One explanation could be that it’s Sukuna’s innate domain, so he decides the rules. Another could be that Sukuna had to manually use RCT on Yuji’s soul in the domain in order to prevent both Yuji’s body, as well as his soul, from dying. It might be a bit contrived, but I think they can be decent explanations. And I could also imagine getting the objection “shouldn’t Yuji die surrounded by friends and family? Isn’t that what this story’s about?” Personally, I used to agree with this take, but I ultimately came to the conclusion that Yuji’s concern for a “proper death” is more about how he himself sees the world, as well as the deaths of his friends and family more than his final destination in the story. Also, Yuji’s already died twice, it might feel weird to do a third Yuji death scene. But if we really need a Yuji death scene, we could tack it onto the end of the prologue, with Grandpa Yuji dying in the hospital, surrounded by friends and family. I don’t think it would change the trajectory of this ending too much.
For the second ending, I think the biggest complaints would probably be “This ending is too dark for Jujutsu Kaisen” and “What about Yuji dying surrounded by friends and family?” For the first one, I think Jujutsu Kaisen is already a pretty dark manga, but yeah, maybe this ending is too dark for shonen jump. For the second complaint, I’ll refer back to what I said about Yuji’s concern for a proper death in the previous paragraph.
And finally on Megumi dying, I think a lot of people are inclined to think that Megumi’s going to be the one to survive, reform jujutsu society, and he’s going to learn to treasure his own life instead of constantly thinking his life is expendable. I think he will learn that lesson, but I think he’s still been set up, since fearsome womb part 4, to sacrifice his own life to save Yuji’s. I think what would make this sacrifice important compared to his other attempts is that, for his other attempts, Megumi thought his life was over, so he was just going to get it over with, anyway, while taking out the threat in front of him. But in the case of Yuji, Megumi sees Yuji as the actualization of his sense of justice. Yuji’s basically what Megumi looks to as proof that his desire to “unfairly” help good people is right, so Megumi places a lot of importance on Yuji, and while he will come to value his own life in the future, Megumi sacrificing himself will be because he’s protecting something important rather than just killing something that’s harmful.
So yeah, I’d love to hear your guys’ thoughts on the matter.

Extracting String from Colum
Hello!
I am working with a column that has a series of delimiters. I am trying to create a column that will be used as a filter (this is ADO data) and pull from this string.
I am trying to have a column that only returns “ABC-“ values into the custom column. Below is an example of what my data looks like and what I want my column to return. The location of the “ABC-“ is not in the same location and there can be more than 3 delimeters the range varies
I have tried doing this in power query using text.contains() and it’ll return the true/false correctly but I have no idea how to get it to return the “ABC-“ value.
I thought PQ would be the best place to do it but ultimately if I can do this in DAX it doesn’t matter.
Any feedback or idea on how to solve this?

Sound dampening questions / opinions
First off, let me say that I understand that not everyone here will have delt with the things I mention.
Some people, like myself, may have had the sunroof rattling which is covered under warranty and after several return trips to the dealer and about 8 weeks total loaner time since June 2023, seems to have largely resolved.
I've also had repeated issues the the rattles under the passenger side dash which remained unsolved after multiple trips to the dealer. It was only after I shoved a bunch of foam up there in all the books and cranies that eventually it seems to have settled down.
These, I get it, are the exceptions not the rule, and to those who have had zero issues, that's really great. I'm happy for you, the car is beautiful and I love the way it drives. I'd love everything about it.....if I was deaf.
I am coming from a 17 year old Chevy Colorado that had less road noise and miscellaneous rattles. I'm not talking about the big obvious sun roof rattle type things that are warranty covered. I mean all the general clicks and pops and creaks in the plastic paneling, minuscule buzzes here and there that come and go. have any one of you had these types of things, got fed up, and ultimately tried to get an aftermarket consult for sound dampening to good effect? I don't mean dynamat necessarily but I mean like felt lining the panels, sound cancelling foam etc.
If any of you have experience in this let me know your thoughts. Ultimately, I like the car, and there just isn't anything else on the market I'd prefer to have. I put down like 13k on this vehicle so I'm not upside down and could totally cut my losses, but I'd honestly rather pay like 1500-2000 bucks or so for a well qualified person to rip the interior down to the "studs" and do it up right, because the Alabama factory sure did not.

Mysticism as Endgame of Life
Recently read some religious posts with people arguing on the usual differing beliefs, interpretations, hell etc and so am making this.
Imo as someone who's been muslim, atheist, agnostic, deist, nihilist and every ism out there I believe that mysticism and perennial philosophy are the endgame of religion.
Religion is like a kindergarten. It teaches us the basics of morality, ethics, values, prayer, God but ultimately spirituality is the endgame. Even then religion simply fine tunes moral intuitions that we already know inside. Religion is the base, a starting point. If you dont let go of religion it becomes your God and consumes you and those around you. You can never reach self realization or God realization. Just like life we graduate from kindergarten to better and more advanced levels. In the same way we graduate from religion to spirituality, mysticism and philosophy.
The goal of the mystic is to connect, to achieve union, knowledge, wisdom and self growth. In the end moral growth, wisdom, knowledge are more important than issues of whether God is one or a trinity or whether ones beliefs will land them in hell. Some of the advantages to a perennial universalist approach are
- Dont throw the baby out with the bathwater approach allows us to appreciate the different religious and philosophical texts taking the good from it and discarding the bad.
- It offers us the beauty of interpretation without being hindered by society, clergies, dogmas, fears of hell, and being forced into belief boxes.
- It allows us to freely explore and enhance our mind drawing in wisdoms from life, various worldviews, books, pop culture and religious beliefs.
- We dont need to be shackled into a box. Rather we can explore the ethico spiritual value of ideas without worrying about the epistemic truth value. Truth is no doubt important but a gradual process. Not something to force.
- We can find the wisdom and beliefs that mesh and parallel well together forming a higher meaning & connection to the divine.
- We can appreciate the historical context, limitations and problems of religious texts without forcing ourselves to believe something because society does so.
TL DR : I believe the approach of the rational mystic in taking the good, discarding the bad, not forcing yourself to believe, being skeptical about things that dont make sense and focusing on what a religious tradition has to offer morally, metaphysically & psychologically is the end goal rather than belief in a particular God/religion

Is Negan justifiable in any way?
So, I am a few episodes into Season 7- I am fully into the Negan era. I know he sticks around. I know basically his entire story- do you think his arc is justified or do you think the show is kind of justifying and excusing him or implying he's somehow just a different version of Rick? That guys like Shane, Rick, The Governor, Negan, etc. are all just different variations of the same logical fallacies of being a commanding leader in an environment like the zombified-post apocalypse? They're all sort of compassionate, but ultimately quite ruthless. They all keep a certain group of people alive by slaughtering other groups. They all have pretty militant and ultimately deadly ways of maintaining their power and control- it just gets expressed differently and their respective weaknesses are the other guys' strengths and so on.
Anyway- for those who have seen every episode of the Walking Dead and Dead City, do you think the show justifies Negan's rise to power and authority and the loyalty of the Survivors? Does it justify Negan's actions, Negan's arc, Negan's survival, Negan's sort of redemption, the shifting allegiances and partnerships related to Negan?

Anyone else struggling with the long term impact of parental suicide as a child?
My dad shot himself when I was 7 or 8. My mom is/was emotionally abusive, and I was never allowed to talk about him much less process things with her. I'm an only child, so I turned inward/my feelings off in a big way. I always felt like I wasn't allowed to speak about my loss with friends or extended family because she made it taboo. Ultimately, I know very little about him except about my mom's resentments and a handful of memories.
As an adult (29), I'm finally really delving into things. I'm finding it really difficult to realize all of the things I wished he had been there for, the shame my mom infused into the situation, and the anger at him leaving me alone to face the abuse in my home. At the same time I know that he was suffering deeply.
It's weighing on me a lot that I'll never know him or understand his perspective. There is so much that I wish I could learn about him, but I don't have access to it. I have had mental health struggles over the years also, and I'm unraveling the taboo way that his death was handled in seeking out help for myself/opening up to others. I feel like my life has been shaped by his loss in so many ways. Therapy is great, but it's painful to keep uncovering the hidden grief and loss there.
Just hoping to connect with anyone else who can relate - I don't know anyone else who has experienced anything like what I have.

27M Recently separated from the military, looking for friends.
So as the title says I’ve recently separated from the military. Ever since it’s been quite lonley. It’s like watching a party going on through a window knowing you’re not allowed in the party anymore. I’d love to chat and connect with people.
