Why was this rejected? Any advice is appreciated

London Sport News - Tue, 03/26/2024 - 07:43

So this walking trail was rejected due to “Inaccurate location”. But I put the marker where the sign is, and you can see it’s close to the trail on google maps. What should I be doing better? Should I redo the submission or appeal?

I’m new to this so any and all advice is appreciated.

Only one I couldn't find was Sheffield United.
So impressive from Ipswich! And the two cup finals.

Best Picture Predictions: "Yes, No, Maybe So" Edition

London Sport News - Mon, 03/25/2024 - 21:26

The first installment of what I hope will be my "Yes, No, Maybe So" slate of predictions, where I lay out my wide pool of contenders and weigh each of their pros and cons. If this goes over well enough, I'd love to do additional installments for the other major categories, and a more abbreviated version for the technical categories.

I'm sure I'm leaving out some viable contenders, but these are the 30 titles that stood out to me the most while surveying the field:

BEST MOTION PICTURE OF THE YEAR

THE ACTOR (Neon)
Duke Johnson, Ken Kao, Abigail Spencer and Paul Young
Logline: When New York actor Paul Cole is beaten and left for dead in 1950s Ohio, he loses his memory and finds himself stranded in a mysterious small town where he struggles to get back home and reclaim what he's lost.
Yes: An intriguing collection of talent with a curious hook. Ryan Gosling was attached to this project for a while before the role went to Holland, a supremely underrated actor who feels primed for his big moment. A period piece about memory and performance could resonate strongly with Academy voters.
No: Duke Johnson's past work is all stop-motion animation, with his only feature length credit co-directing Anomalisa. A promising debut to be sure, but how does his skillset translate to live-action? How weird will this be -- are we going to get a trailer and discover that this is all performed with puppets?
Maybe So: Neon acquired this picture a while ago (when Gosling was still attached). They'll be a powerful campaigning patron should it take off at the fests.

THE APPRENTICE (No Distributor)
Amy Baer, Daniel Bekerman, Jacob Jarek, Producers
Logline: The story of how a young Donald Trump started his real estate business in New York during the 1970s and '80s.
Yes: Well, it will certainly drum up attention. Trying to dramatize the most notorious figure in modern America is a tall order, but honing in on his tutelage under Roy Cohn's dark arts is probably the only conceivable angle you could take that doesn't just regurgitate things everyone has already lived through. There's chatter that it might premiere at Cannes, which could be an ideal launching pad.
No: The subject is about as polarizing as it gets, to put it mildly, and flat out revolting to most voters in Hollywood. There is zero chance this will be a flattering portrait of Trump, but the mere association might be too off-putting.
Maybe So: This feels ludicrous to say, but the election could very well decide this movie's awards prospects. If Trump is a vanquished foe after November, then The Apprentice could actually be boosted as a way of rubbing salt in his wounds. If he regains power, then it could become just too painful for the Academy to stomach.

BIRD (A24)
Lee Groombridge, Juliette Howell and Tessa Ross
Logline: The plot is currently unknown.
Yes: Starring two of the hottest actors around with Keoghan and Rogowski, and Andrea Arnold's rep has been steadily building over the last decade. Seems primed for a festival run where it could make a huge splash.
No: We know next to nothing about it. Andrea Arnold may have a Short Film Oscar already, but this would have to be a big level up in appeal to do much better than her previous feature length work. It be just another respected work that's held at arm's length rather than a breakout.
Maybe So: Considering the promising trend of more and more women filmmakers finally getting their due, Arnold does stand out this year as someone to root for.

BLITZ (Apple Original Films)
Lee Groombridge, Juliette Howell and Tessa Ross
Logline: Follows the stories of a group of Londoners during the events of the British capital bombing in World War II.
Yes: A WWII epic from a filmmaker who has claimed Oscar's biggest prize before. Tremendous cast and a potentially passionate BAFTA constituency, this has all the makings of an early frontrunner on paper.
No: "Early frontrunner on paper" is often a curse. McQueen hit with 12 Years a Slave, but Widows was completely ignored.
Maybe So: With Apple behind this (and presuming that a major studio collaborates with them to provide a wide theatrical run), Blitz is coming into the season from a position of strength.

THE BRUTALIST (Focus Features)
Nick Gordon, D.J. Gugenheim, Andrew Lauren, Producers
Logline: When visionary architect László Toth and his wife Erzsébet flee post-war Europe in 1947 to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of modern America, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious and wealthy client.
Yes: An ambitious premise from a very ambitious filmmaker, imagining an artist placed in history out of whole cloth. That's the sort of conceit that gave us Tár. Interestingly, the architect character appears to be named after an infamous geologist who desecrated one of Michelangelo's works and claimed he was Jesus Christ. A veneer of high art could give it some prestige even if it's not based on a real person.
No: Corbet is a very idiosyncratic filmmaker whose most recent film, Vox Lux, was tremendously polarizing. Virtually the entire cast had a changeover due to Covid delays -- will the new ensemble slot into these characters as comfortably?
Maybe So: This project weathered a lot of setbacks before finally coming to fruition. If the labor of love shines through, the reception may finally match Corbet's high aspirations.

A COMPLETE UNKNOWN (Searchlight Pictures)
Fred berger, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, Producers
Logline: A young Bob Dylan shakes up the folk music scene when he plugs in his electric guitar at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
Yes: A big glitzy biopic of an icon, smartly focusing on an inflection point in his career instead of trying to cover the whole sweep. Starring Chalamet just after he's solidified himself as a bankable movie star. Mangold showed a great utility with this genre with Walk the Line.
No: It's only shooting now after Covid delays. Is it even possible for this to release this calendar year? Even if they rush, it's going to be tight. This might be a conversation best saved for 2025.
Maybe So: If Mangold manages to crank this out in time for a holiday release, it could be Searchlight's priority for awards season.

CONCLAVE (Focus Features)
Alice Dawson, Robert Harris, Juliette Howell, Producers
Logline: Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with leading one of the world's most secretive and ancient events, selecting a new Pope, where he finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could shake the very foundation of The Church.
Yes: Berger's follow-up to All Quiet on the Western Front, which did exceedingly well at the 2023 Oscars. Based on a Robert Harris novel that The Guardian praised as "unputdownable," it has all the makings of a pulpy procedural with the trimmings of grandeur. Ace actors scheming in rooms with high stakes -- the kind of entertainment we got in droves during the 1990s. That could be refreshing.
No: European directors who break out with a native film often stumble when they make the transition to English language pictures. Do Vatican machinations still interest enough people? It could also prove too pulpy to be taken that seriously.
Maybe So: Focus Features notably made an early announcement that this would be a November release, indicating a high degree of confidence. They might already well know this will be their prized pony of the year.

DÌDI (Focus Features)
Valerie Bush, Carlos López Estrada, Josh Peters and Sean Wang
Logline: An impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can't teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mom.
Yes: Snagged both the coveted audience and jury prizes at Sundance this year, which proved to be an early signpost for a strong Oscar run in the past.
No: Many films that won big at Sundance didn't go on to make much noise, and while Dìdi's reviews have been very good, it wasn't a sensation like CODA, Minari or Past Lives. Child-centered stories face some obstacles with Academy appeal.
Maybe So: If none of Focus Features' other prospects pan out, then they'll go all-in on this acquisition.

DUNE: PART TWO (Warner Bros.)
Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe, Patrick McCormick, Producers
Logline: Paul Atreides unites with Chani and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
Yes: Beaucoup bucks at the box-office and rave reviews. Consensus is that it's a major achievement, and a marked improvement upon the first installment's comparatively measured reception, and Part One already racked up a ton of hardware.
No: Early release date. Science-fiction bias. The Academy have a longstanding aversion to sequels, and it's generally understood that this will be a middle chapter: will voters prefer to keep their powder dry for the seemingly inevitable Dune: Messiah?
Maybe So: It's inclusion in The 10 is the only sure bet we've got this early in the year. Any speculation that it could win outright is premature, but if no consensus contender emerges while this movie's popularity endures, things could get spicy.

EMMANUELLE (Neon)
Reginald de Guillebon, Marion Delord and Audrey Diwan
Logline: Follows a woman and the series of erotic fantasies that she entertains.
Yes: Audrey Diwan impressed with "Happening" just a few years ago, and she has a savvy patron in Neon this time out. The Academy has gotten more international, and European talent could find a lot of openings this post-strike year.
No: A film comprised of erotic vignettes doesn't exactly scream crossover potential. Even if it hits critically it could be too niche, too French to resonate beyond the International category.
Maybe So: Neon's American prospects this year also have quirky conceits. If this emerges as their most approachable title by default, their prioritization could make all the difference.

THE END (Neon)
Joshua Oppenheimer and Signe Byrge Sørensen
Logline: A Golden Age-style musical about the last human family.
Yes: The conceit is ambitious and eye-catching, and it has a very impressive cast. Joshua Oppenheimer is widely revered for his documentarian work in Indonesian, and his narrative debut will arrive with a lot of curiosity.
No: The conceit may be ambitious and eye-catching, but it's also bizarre. This is a musical and the film's composer, Josh Schmidt, has mostly only done underground theatre. Tilda Swinton's involvement is a huge endorsement of quality potential, but the projects she chooses are often too niche for awards traction.
Maybe So: Recent Academy choices indicate increasing open mindedness about outré fare. For whatever it's worth, Josh Schmidt's music samples are quite beautiful. This early out, it really comes down to whether you trust in Oppenheimer's talent. If it makes a splash at the fests, anything's possible.

FLINT STRONG (Amazon MGM Studios)
Michael De Luca, Elishia Holmes and Barry Jenkins
Logline: The story of Claressa 'T-Rex' Shields, a boxer from Flint, Michigan who trained to become the first woman in her country's history to win an Olympic gold medal in the sport.
Yes: Barry Jenkins wrote and is producing this sports story, which is a huge plus in the prestige department. And marking the directorial debut of Rachel Morrison, a widely respected cinematographer who broke the glass ceiling in that Oscar category, only adds to its narrative. Boxing pictures have historically done very well at the Academy, too.
No: Films written by a beloved filmmaker but not directed by them haven't had a glowing track record. The expected August release date also indicates that this might be more of a commercial play.
Maybe So: If it's a critical hit, the inspirational uplift can help it stand out amidst a field of dour contenders.

GLADIATOR II (Paramount Pictures)
Lucy Fisher, David Franzoni, Ridley Scott and Douglas Wick
Logline: Follows Lucius, the son of Maximus' love Lucilla, after Maximus' death.
Yes: The follow-up to an enduringly popular best picture winner starring one of the hottest actors on the market. In an awkward year that's still playing catchup after the strikes, it will stand out as a contender that's both populist and prestigious.
No: The Academy normally doesn't go for sequels, and this year's slate is already full of them. Ridley Scott's track record has been so spotty lately that the reception is a total crapshoot to predict. The reportedly gargantuan budget will also make it challenging for this to break even at the box office.
Maybe So: Ridley Scott's track record was also very spotty in the years leading up to The Martian, and that film racked up 7 nominations. Bloated budget or not, this could potentially make a ton of money, and that would go a long way in a year defined by box office anxiety. And last year's Napoleon still got a respectable slew of nods despite an anemic reaction.

FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA (Warner Bros.)
George Miller and Doug Mitchell
Logline: The origin story of renegade warrior Furiosa before her encounter and teamup with Mad Max.
Yes: Miller's return to the Mad Max world after Fury Road dazzled nearly a decade ago. Starring one of the hottest stars around, playing a character who has grown to be iconic.
No: Following up a beloved predecessor is a double-edged sword, and it is very difficult to recapture lightning in a bottle. What's worse, it's a prequel. Even if it absolutely rocks, there could be an air of "been there, done that already." And having to weather comparisons will be tough.
Maybe So: After all the challenges Fury Road faced, doubt George Miller at your own peril.

HARD TRUTHS (Bleecker Street Media)
Georgina Lowe
Logline: Ongoing exploration of the contemporary world with a tragicomic study of human strengths and weaknesses.
Yes: One of Britain's most beloved filmmakers returns after an extended break and reunites with the star of his biggest Oscars breakout. Leigh's track record is platinum, and a well-acted humanist drama could highly resonate in a season full of spectacles.
No: It could be deflected as "too small." Bleecker Street doesn't have an encouraging record of garnering big nods. Leigh is a legend but his most recent film, Peterloo, was viewed as something of a misfire.
Maybe So: Given how infrequently he works nowadays, this could be Leigh's last film, adding some sentiment. The BAFTA crowd could give it a big boost.

JAY KELLY (Netflix)
Noah Baumbach, David Heyman and Amy Pascal
Logline: Plot details are being kept under wraps.
Yes: The star wattage is blinding and Baumbach's awards breakthrough with Marriage Story has only been bolstered since by Barbie. This could very well be Netflix's primary play this year.
No: We have no idea what it's about. There hasn't even been an official title announcement yet – "Jay Kelly" is just a rumor at this point. Baumbach's brand broke through when he tackled something as emotionally resonant as divorce, but the majority of his filmography has been prickly and unconcerned with being liked. The pedigree is there, but the story could be a dealbreaker.
Maybe So: We've gotten one hint about the tone of the project from Netflix's Scott Stuber, who described it as "kind of Jerry Maguire-esque, for lack of a better analogy, but a really great life-affirming movie." If that bears out with the finished product, then this could be Baumbach's most viable awards contender yet.

JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX (Warner Bros.)
Joseph Garner, Todd Phillips and Emma Tillinger Koskoff
Logline: Sequel to the film "Joker" from 2019.
Yes: Sequel to a massive hit that performed extremely well in a competitive Oscars year. The genre changeup also might help it evade the "been there, done that" fatigue. And don't forget: Gaga!
No: The first Joker was hugely polarizing, and its detractors will have their knives out for this entry. The conceit of a comic book film played straight as a grim drama won't be fresh anymore, either. Part of the original's appeal was that it was pitched as a standalone; maybe even fans within the Academy will grow disinterested now that this venture is looking more like a franchise.
Maybe So: It will likely make a ton of money. Even if it proves just as polarizing as the first, it might also be just as popular.

JUROR #2 (Warner Bros.)
Clint Eastwood, Adam Goodman, Jessica Meier, Producers
Logline: A juror serving on a murder trial realizes he may be at fault for the victim's death.
Yes: Just when you thought Clint had give it up, he's come back for one last(?) ride. The pitch is an immediate attention-grabber and the cast is excellent. If it's a solid hit, there will be a lot of sentiment about giving Eastwood one last pat on the back.
No: It's been a decade since an Eastwood movie connected with the Academy in a major way. This also might just be too pulpy: even if it's well-liked, it might not be taken seriously enough for awards season.
Maybe So: Warner Bros. has a very stacked year with a lot of prestigious epics... but they're all sequels or prequels. Maybe it'll be their original drama that stands out from the pack.

KINDS OF KINDNESS (Searchlight Pictures)
Ed Guiney, Yorgos Lanthimos, Andrew Lowe and Kasia Malipan
Logline: A contemporary film, set in the U.S. -- three different stories, with four or five actors who play one part in each story.
Yes: Lanthimos is on a roll and has assembled a platinum cast. Momentum goes a long way, and Poor Things proved that he doesn't have to tone down his idiosyncrasies to impress the Academy.
No: It's an anthology film, a peculiar genre that is often admired but rarely embraced. The summer release date suggests that Searchlight already knows this is a tough sell for awards season.
Maybe So: If the film is received as another jewel in Lanthimos' crown and not just as a modest palate cleanser after Poor Things, then this filmmaking team's momentum might just charge ahead unabated.

MEGALOPOLIS (No Distributor)
Michael Bederman and Francis Ford Coppola
Logline: An architect wants to rebuild New York City as a utopia following a devastating disaster.
Yes: Already one of the most talked about projects of the year, where you just gotta admire the audacity. An eighty-something Coppola selling his lucrative vineyard to fund his dream project, with Adam Driver lending his star power to get it over the line. From a cineaste perspective, there's a lot to root for here.
No: Well... there's a not-insignificant chance that this film is a disaster. Coppola hasn't made a successful film of this scale since Dracula over 30 years ago, and his most recent work has been idiosyncratic to the point of feeling like student films, for better and worse.
Maybe So: Even if Megalopolis has a smooth landing, its awards prospects still feel very slim. But, even so... it'd be tremendously exciting if this got anywhere.

MOTHER MARY (A24)
Toby Halbrooks, Jeanie Igoe, David Lowery, Producers
Logline: Follows the relationship between a fictional musician and a famous fashion designer.
Yes: The sheer talent behind it is intriguing. David Lowery has availed himself as a tremendously gifted filmmaker, his noble failure to polish up a throwaway Disney Pan remake aside. This could be the stylish ticket to break him through while bringing Hathaway back into the awards conversation.
No: This premise could be the stuff that Letterboxd users' dreams are made of, but it might be too cool and niche for serious awards consideration. A24 already has a very viable contender with Sing Sing.
Maybe So: It really depends on whether you trust the talent involved, and have the hunch that they might just unleash something special that overcomes any prestige bias.

THE NICKEL BOYS (Amazon MGM Studios)
Joslyn Barnes, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and David Levine
Logline: Explores the story of Elwood Curtis, a young African-American boy who is sent to the Nickel Academy, a fictional version of the Dozier School, after he is falsely accused of a crime.
Yes: It's adapting a Pulitzer Prize-winning book, which is a good place to start. It will be very politically topical, and RaMell Ross proved himself a highly observant and stylish filmmaker with his documentary "Hale County This Morning, This Evening."
No: It's going to be quite the bummer, and sometimes that just simply turns people off. Ross impressed with his documentary work, but narrative film is a whole other ballgame.
Maybe So: But hey, the transition from documentaries to fiction filmmaking worked out for Bennett Miller. Amazon seems reengaged with awards season after integrating MGM, and this is their most prestigious prospect on paper for the year.

NOSFERATU (Focus Features)
Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus, Robert Eggers, Producers
Logline: A gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.
Yes: One of the more buzzed about titles of the year, with Eggers finally getting to realize his dream project. A lavish reimagining of one of cinema's foundational works. Eggers' rep has been steadily growing; this might be his moment.
No: The genre bias is going to be extremely steep, maybe even insurmountable. Academy voters tend not to go for movies that scare the shit out of them. It's also a remake, and that Christmas release date has almost become a kiss of death for awards season.
Maybe So: If Focus Features has faith in its prospects, they'd be smart to give it a fall festival run beforehand. If it proves a smash there, who the hell knows.

PARTHENOPE (No Distributor)
Lorenzo Mieli, Adrvan Safee, Paolo Sorrentino and Anthony Vaccarello
Logline: Partenope is a woman who bears the name of her city. Is she a siren or a myth?
Yes: In an environment where more and more renowned world artists are getting recognized by the increasingly international Academy, Sorrentino seems like an obvious candidate for a breakout. This Fellini-esuqe odyssey looks opulent, with Gary Oldman on hand to provide a familiar face.
No: Sorrentino won the International Oscar a decade ago with The Great Beauty, but he's not everybody's cup of tea. Given his past work, who knows how his film about a potentially manic pixie siren girl will go over with American critics.
Maybe So: Films shot in black and white have been such a recurring presence in the Best Picture category lately that it's beginning to feel like a mandatory slot.

THE PIANO LESSON (Netflix)
Todd Black and Denzel Washington
Logline: Follows the lives of the Charles family as they deal with themes of family legacy and more, in deciding what to do with an heirloom, the family piano.
Yes: August Wilson adaptations have a very good track record in the past decade, and this iteration has an excellent array of talent. Denzel Washington is a valuable producer to have on hand, and Samuel L. Jackson's return to prestigious affair can drum up excitement.
No: The Broadway production with this same cast received a polite but muted reception and was mostly ignored by the Tonys. The director is completely green and it could easily fall into the dreaded "too stagy" trap.
Maybe So: This is Netflix's most outwardly prestigious contender on paper for now. Barring Baumbach's project taking off or an international acquisition, it could comfortably coast on the largesse of their campaign coffers.

QUEER (No Distributor)
Luca Guadagnino and Lorenzo Mieli
Logline: Lee, who recounts his life in Mexico City among American expatriate college students and bar owners surviving on part-time jobs and GI Bill benefits. He driven to pursue a young man named Allerton, who is based on Adelbert Lewis Marker.
Yes: A hot, sleazy William S. Burroughs adaptation from the great Luca Guadagnino, starring one of the world's biggest movie stars in a rare dramatic role. The sheer star power from Craig will garner a lot of attention, and seeing him stretch his range (yet again) could make this an attractive package deal.
No: Guadagnino connected with Call Me By Your Name, but his work before and since hasn't really been Oscar's bag. Even if this proves to be a great vehicle for Craig's first nomination, the rest of the movie might not be along for the ride.
Maybe So: If it gets snagged up by a formidable distributor, a smart campaign could make all the difference.

A REAL PAIN (Searchlight Pictures)
Jesse Eisenberg, Ali Herting and Emma Stone, Producers
Logline: Mismatched cousins David and Benji reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother.
Yes: Made a splash at Sundance where it garnered a glowing seal of critical approval. It could endure as Searchlight's primary pony in the race.
No: Might be deemed too "small" to withstand flashier competition, or get relegated to a more modest awards vehicle by Searchlight if one of their other titles proves more viable.
Maybe So: Having two well-known and well-liked stars will definitely help with campaigning and visibility.

THE ROOM NEXT DOOR (Sony Pictures Classics)
Augustín Almodóvar
Logline: Martha's strained relationship with her mother fractures completely when a misunderstanding drives them apart. Their mutual friend Ingrid sees both sides of the rift.
Yes: The Spanish master Pedro Almodóvar finally makes his long-awaited English language feature film debut, with an outstanding cast. It's filming now, and given the scale of Almodóvar's dramas it's feasible for this to release this year.
No: It also might not be ready in time for 2024. Even though Almodóvar has taken baby steps towards English with two short films, the transition to a different language can be tricky for even the most adept filmmakers. He would've cracked the Best Picture field in 2002 if the field was expanded then, but the rest of his filmography has never really come close. Will this be an exception?
Maybe So: Sony Pictures Classics is a dependable campaigner, and they might be able to work wonders with the added star power.

SING SING (A24)
Clint Bentley, Greg Kwedar and Monique Walton
Logline: Divine G, imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn't commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men in this story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art.
Yes: Already minted as a critic's darling from last year's TIFF, it's already been measured and weighed. It enters this year and with outstanding early reviews and a meta hook that plays intriguingly into its story of finding catharsis and redemption through performance. Colman Domingo also has a lot of heat coming off his awards breakout with Rustin.
No: Currently scheduled for a July release date. Can it maintain momentum over such a long stretch before nomination season? A24 might have an even flashier contender in store.
Maybe So: Its cast, including many former inmates and alumni of Sing Sing's rehabilitation program, could potentially make for a very winning band of ambassadors on the campaign trail.

SNL 1975 (Sony Pictures Classics)
Jason Blumenfeld, Gil Kenan, Jason Reitman and Peter Rice
Logline: Follow the behind-the-scenes story in the moments leading up to SNL's first broadcast.
Yes: A nostalgic snapshot of the night America's most hallowed comedy institution began. Hollywood loves celebrations of showbiz and dramatizations of famous people.
No: This is a very fresh-faced cast. Will it just come across as Muppet Babies at the Wax Museum? Trying to recreate the spontaneity of sketches is extremely tricky and could fall flat on its face. Reitman hasn't made a movie that rises above "pretty good" at best since his aughts golden run; this would have to be a major return to form to work.
Maybe So: We're just one year away from Saturday Night Live's 50th anniversary. If this movie is even just solid enough, there could be a wave of nostalgia to acknowledge the titans of a genre that the Academy has notoriously ignored throughout its history.

How FC Hollywood came to be and why Thomas Tuchel is not part of it.

London Sport News - Mon, 03/25/2024 - 18:43

Over the past 18 month I've seen ppl talk about the return of "FC Hollywood" and to be frank, I was kinda annoyed by it at first, but then realized, that this shit happend almost 30 years ago and most ppl here - even many of those who followed BuLi back then - don't remember or know most of it.

First of all, allow me to say, that this will be a bumpy ride, cuz english is not my first language and I'm writing this on the 5th day of being bored at home on fever medication.

Introduction

Bayern were tremendously successful in the 80s, but started slowly into the 90s, in 1991 & 1992 they lost important players like Kohler, Reuter, Augenthaler, Laudrupp and Effenberg, while their signings especially Oliver Kreuzer and Thomas Berthold wouldn't live up to the expectations. Bayern won only one league title in 5 years and Borussia Dortmund established themselves as a worthy rival, winning the league in 94/95, after splashing money on players like Chapuisat, Sammer, Kalle Riedle, Andreas Möllerm, Reuter and later also Kohler.

Bayern were in a precarious situation, by their own standards and started making moves to improve the squad themselves, Mattäus returned from Inter, Scholl & Kahn were signed alongside half of Karlsruhes squad and in 95/96 they broke the bank and signed Klinsmann, Strunz, Sforza and Herzog, all exept Klinsmann were star players of Bundesliga clubs and Bayern had a star stutted squad, that still couldn't win the league, so they signed Basler, Elber, Lizarazu, Jens Jeremies and bought Effenberg back. Not all of them would play together, since Klinsmann left only 2 years after joining, for example, but they are the protagonists of that era and the reason FC Hollywood came to be.

All of the above-mentioned guys had huge egos, a big mouth and they were headstrong as fuck, to put it lightly, most of them enjoyed life to the fullest and well, they were coached by Giovanni Trapattoni.

The Beginning

Trap had his first stint at Bayern in 94/95 and already coached some of the above-mentioned players, but left after only one season, due to language barrier. The second cornerstone of FC Hollywood arrived precisely that summer: Jürgen Klinsmann. After reviving his career in London he hoped to add some silverware in Munich, but it was a ticking time bomb since him and Mattäus - the other cornerstone - were at odds for years.

Most of the internal stuff was kept under the hood in 1995, since the media found their prime target in the new coach Otto Rehagel, even though Bayern had an underwhelming season in domestic competitions, they managed to win the UEFA Cup, their first international title in 2 decadse, with Beckenbauer taking over as the coach in the second half of the season.

The next season Trap returned and shit hit the fan.

FC Hollywood arrives

Internal clashes became public, players were seen at night in one of the most popular clubs in Munich (P1). Yellow press caught wind of players being drunk, misbehaving, smoking and being regulars there, so they sent jurnos every night and players delivered.

This put an even bigger magnifying glass on the squad, players were at odds with eachother and some media outlets/jurnos, while leaking information to others and especially talking shit about eachother, players who were caught by jurnos partying late at night allegedly provided stories about teammates, in order to avoid fines. All this disgusted Beckenbauer so much, that he - as president of the club, who had coached most of the very same players just month prior - called this squad a disgrace for the club live on TV.

All this gave birth to "FC Hollywood", as a comparison to controversial Actors who were seen partying all night and had attitude issues on set and it was convenient, that the players starred in their own drama show, delivering over and over again.

The main plot of the show was the saga between Mattäus on one and Klinsmann on the other side. Mattäus hated Klinsmanns guts and leaked internal stuff about him from the get go, this was so obvious that Klinsmann and teammates nicknamed him "IM Lothar", IM being short for "Inoffizieller Mitarbeiter" (unofficial collaborator) an abbreviation, used by the intelligence service of the GDR for ppl who voluntarily sniched on their peers. Klinsmann, Helmer and Sammer successfully berated Berti Vogts to keep Mattäus off the squad for the Euros 1996, cuz he would harm the team spirit and feed the press. Mattäus got wind of it and was mad. After he allegedly failed to convince Hoeneß to sell Klinsmann, he & bet with Hoeneß, that Klinsmann wouldn't score 15 goals, losing 10.000DM, when Klinsmann scored his 15th goal in the last match of the season, in the 90th minute. Lothar also published his biograpy in the middle of then season, throwing shade at Klinsmann, calling him a egoistic coward, that is only greeding for money, this cost him the captains armband, since several players publicly supported Klinsmann. When Klinsmann left, he publicly stated, that he pities his former teammates, cuz they have to continue playing with Mattäus.

But Klinsmann leaving wasn't the end of FC Hollywood, it was like a show that kept running despite losing one of its main protagonists and most of the side characters were still there, so it continued.

  • Liza slapped the shit out of Mattäus in trining.
  • Effenberg pinched Strunz wife, after being friends for years.
  • Basler and Scheuer were arrested for fighting randoms in a Pizza place at 3 in the night, while on rehab from an injury, Basler was suspended and sold the following transfer window.
  • Jeremies publicly called the state of the NT pathetic and refused to apologise or elaborate on it, Kahn backed him up claiming, that Ribbeck (NT coach) can't afford to keep him off the team, if he wants to keep his job.
  • Kahn also tried to bite Heiko Herrlich in a heated match between Dortmund and Bayern.
  • Klinsmann kicked a Barrel and almost got stuck in it, hurting his ankle in the process, because he was substituted.
  • Scholl & Strunz were caught playing strip poker with girls on the training grounds.
  • Trap had his legendary speech, wich was percived as a spontaneous outburst, but later he admitted, that it was planned and that he invited some italian jurnos, cuz he was fed up with Scholl, Strunz and Basler.
  • Basler claimed that Uli hired a private investigator he paid out of his own pocket to get rid of him.
  • Rehagel was very lenient towards Basler, cuz he coached him in Bremen already, wich lead to Basler skipping the endurance training at the beginning of the sessions and Rehagel not giving a fuck about it, including one time, when Basler rode off on a bicicle in the middle of a session to drink beer.
  • Effenbergs "Freunde der Sonne" presser, telling jurnos that they have to be careful what they write.

This is actually only the stuff I can come up with on the spot, in the early 2000s shit toned down, Klinsmann, Mattäus, Basler, Strunz were gone, Scholl grew up and became a vital substitute

Those were the glory days of FC Hollywood, why they were called FC Hollywood and this is why underperforming and Tuchel beefing with pundits is not FC Hollywood. It was one of the most memorable squads in German sports history, with some of the most dazzling personalities German football ever had, doing the dumbest shit and still winning titles and making a CL final.

Clarkson's Columns: The Mazda MX-30 verus Honda HR-V & What will really cheer us up?

London Sport News - Mon, 03/25/2024 - 18:36

Mazda MX-30 v Honda HR-V — the battle of the hybrids

By Jeremy Clarkson (Sunday Times, March 24)

In a break from the virtually ceaseless fun at this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix I found myself enjoying breakfast with two proper old car enthusiasts, the former Formula One team boss Paul Stewart and Pink Floyd’s drummer, Nick Mason. And they were busy telling me how, the previous afternoon, they’d attempted to drive some kind of snazzy supercar to the track.

“It sort of wouldn’t go properly,” Nick explained. “So I pushed one of the buttons, which engaged what sounded like a kind of whirlpool in the boot.” Paul then explained that the complexity had forced them to give up and use a taxi instead. And so it was that we came up with the idea of a podcast called “Old men being confused by modern cars”.

And I think I have just the right car for our first episode — the Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV Makoto. We shall begin with Paul and me getting in the front and then watching Nick attempting to get into the back, which is impossible because the front seats don’t tilt forwards. He will then discover that there are back doors but that they don’t have handles. Well, they do, but they’re on the inside of the car.

We shall then set off, except we won’t because the car isn’t making a noise. So does the car think it’s at a set of lights? Is the stop-start active or is it stopped because I haven’t told it to start? And there’s the first chat we can have. “What was the matter with an effing key?”

https://preview.redd.it/2303s6ibokqc1.jpg?width=1022&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=413eb005770fc387a72d605b328f422711f87400

Interestingly you can buy the MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV Makoto in two forms. One is pure electric and has a range of almost exactly half what you tell your friends it will do. The other is also pure electric, but it has a small petrol-engined generator that is used to charge the batteries.

I tried the one with the generator because I thought it might be interesting. Mazda persevered with the idea of Wankel propulsion long after everyone else realised that, while there’s a lot of smoothness, there’s also a lot of thirst and, after a short while, a lot of banging and clattering as the rotor tips wear out. Anyway, here they are, persevering again, only this time with a titchy 830cc unit.

What was it like? Dunno. I couldn’t make it begin. I pushed every button and prodded every lever, and just had to assume it would start when it felt the need — not when I did.

https://preview.redd.it/rlkq3nofokqc1.jpg?width=1021&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bebebf16aceac42863829640bf8e1b32f064d776

Soon I felt the need. I was heading along a lovely piece of road and in front was a slow-moving Honda Jazz. So I thought I’d overtake it. This turned out to be impossible. And when I got home I found out why. The Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV Makoto (what was the matter with L and GL and Super?) has a top speed of 87mph.

So I decided that the Mazda would not be a very good idea for old people like Nick, Paul and me because we are old, so we prefer cars that are faster than bicycles.

Happily, the next day there was another car in the drive. This has a name so long it needs three pieces of punctuation — the Honda HR-V 1.5 i-MMD Advance Style. Everything else about it, however, was quite dull.

And that made it perfect for a trip I had to make the next day, to Cirencester to meet some Liberal Democrat councillors. Liberal Democrats, I suspected, would love the idea of a boring Honda hybrid and would immediately give me everything I wanted.

I was nearly late for the meeting. Compared with the Mazda the Honda is a rocket ship; but compared with the olden days the performance is dismal: 0 to 62mph in 10.7 seconds and a top speed of 106mph. From a car that has three motors.

But what about economy? Well, this is perfect material for the podcast because I have no idea how many miles to the gallon it does. According to the Honda blurb it does 61.4 somethings on “Low-FC” and 39.8 on “Extra High”. Extra high what? I literally have no idea.

https://preview.redd.it/6hhdk6pjpkqc1.jpg?width=1021&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5caa6d4b1db795532f9c3215734afd4815238549

What I do know is that it has a CVT gearbox. Carmakers flirted with this stepless system 30 years ago and most realised quite quickly it simply didn’t work. But Honda has tried again. And it still doesn’t work. You put your foot down, the 1.5-litre petrol engine roars its head off and then, very slowly, you start to move. It’s like the clutch is permanently slipping. And it sounds like someone’s making a cowboy movie under the bonnet.

As I approached Cirencester I needed to engage Lib Dem-friendly stealth mode, and I had no idea how to do this. But I had heard that if you drive very slowly only silent electrical drive is used. So I pulled into their car park at one mile per hour and they were very friendly to me, which meant the car had done its job.

There were other things to like. Mazda has festooned the interior of its MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV Makoto with all manner of funky design details and Instagram-friendly materials such as “vegan leather”, which is impossible, and something called “repurposed denim” — which is barely even a thing on the internet. And I suppose that’s right and proper for young people who might be interested in such a slow car, because they have no real job and find punctuality offensive.

Honda, meanwhile, has been more straightforward with the HR-V 1.5 i-MMD Advance Style. So apart from a few buttons that made no sense and a glass screen that doesn’t work as well as old-fashioned buttons, it’s all quite normal. Except you really can feel the quality. It’s tangible.

https://preview.redd.it/qatrplospkqc1.jpg?width=1021&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b47df1eeb3428d9e9245b37fc6351b2ea66dcda

I’m not saying the Mazda is badly made. Mazdas aren’t. But a Honda gives you a sense that it’ll “see you out”, as my grandfather used to say when he bought a new suit.

And I’m still not interested, I’m afraid. These cars may be perfectly in tune with the times, electrical, inoffensive and blessed with all the things that matter these days. Such as connectivity. But my God they are dreary. Yes, they will convey you to wherever you want to go, and keep you warm and dry if it rains. But so will a bus shelter.

I don’t know how fast they go round corners, and even if I cared, which I don’t, you could bet your bottom dollar that there will be a safety feature to slow you down. In the same way there are safety features to remind you of the speed limit and to take control of the steering if sensors think you’ve had an aneurysm. Yes, these features can be turned off, but only young, tech-savvy people can do that. And young, tech-savvy people don’t want to go round corners quickly. Because of a whale, I think.

We could discuss this when our podcast launches. Which will be when we’ve worked out what a podcast is.

Britain’s gone to pot. Will living near a pottery really cheer us up?

By Jeremy Clarkson (Sunday Times, March 24

If you’ve set foot in a public-sector office at any point in the past two years, you’ll have noticed that all the computer terminals have cobwebs on them and no one is sitting in any of the chairs. And you’ll have assumed that everyone is working from home. Or, to be more exact, working from a wellness juice bar before going to the gym.

But you’d be wrong, because it turns out that our civil servants have, in fact, been engaged in important field work, trying to work out what makes us happy. Hmmm. What makes me happy is watching my granddaughter whizzing about on her newly functional legs. And noticing that, despite all the rain, my spring barley is growing well. And stopping off in the pub after work for a cold pint with friends.

It turns out, however, that I’m wrong. Because after months of government-funded extensive research by Historic England, it turns out that what actually makes me happy is the fact that just five miles from where I live there’s some kind of old druidy stone circle. I don’t have to visit it. I just have to know, in the back of my mind, that it’s there, and this alone makes me all warm and fuzzy.

And don’t worry if you don’t live near an old stone circle. You can be happy if you live near Wandsworth Bridge in London. Or near that Buddhist temple in Malvern. And if you live within 1km of a grade II listed house, you’ll be so happy, people will assume you’ve been inhaling nitrous oxide. The report even says that the people of Stoke-on-Trent are happier than average because they live so close to the potteries.

In short, they say that people who live near historical sites are happier than those who don’t. They’ve even quantified things, saying that if you live in an area that’s densely packed with heritage sites — Bath, for example — your life satisfaction score will rise by 0.025 per cent.

This is all very interesting. But it is also bollocks. Because I was in Bath not that long ago, and while I knew that I was within walking distance of the Royal Crescent and that Roman swimming pool, I was in a gym, being forced by a man in skin-tight shorts to pick things up so I could put them down again. So my life satisfaction score was about minus a million.

I once saw an old lady in Bath who had spent ages rummaging around in her little purse to find enough coins to buy an Easter egg for her grandchildren. And when she left the shop, the egg slipped through her arthritic fingers, rolled into the road and was run over by a bus. She was terribly upset by this, and it wasn’t the history or heritage of her surroundings that cheered her up. It was me, buying her another egg to replace the one she’d dropped.

And there’s more, because most of the heritage in this country — our stately homes, for example — was paid for by slavery. And I happen to know that this makes most of the nation’s pronoun enthusiasts extremely angry. Give them the choice of living near the beautifully restored docks in Bristol or a gloomy 1950s housing estate in Welwyn Garden City and they’d be off to Hertfordshire in a heartbeat.

Let’s be real. It is impossible for anyone to say what makes people happy, which is why these taxpayer-funded surveys make me so cross. I read one the other day that said the Finns are the happiest people on Earth. No, they’re not. They’re so universally miserable that when they saw footage of their prime minister dancing and smiling at a party, they assumed she must be on drugs.

Other miserabilists include the east Germans. They are surrounded on all sides by some epic Saxon towns, full of cobbles and history and heritage, and everyone mooches around as if their colon has just prolapsed. Then you’ve got all those French people living in the Loire Valley. You’re never more than a mile from a château, the air is clean, the food is wonderful, the greenery is endless — and yet everyone looks as though their dog’s just died.

But let’s get back to Blighty, where Historic England has been working with the Treasury to calculate what the financial benefit of increased happiness might be. And, yup, they’ve come up with a number. Ready? Here goes. If you live near a historic site, the happiness and improved quality of life that results equates to increased spending of £515 a year. We are paying them to produce guff like this. They can’t mend the roads or fit our submarines with a missile that actually works, but they can sit around in wellness juice bars all day deciding that because someone lives near Castle Howard, they’re going to spend £515 a year more than if they didn’t.

Quick point on that one. Castle Howard is in Yorkshire, and there has never been a Yorkshireman, ever, who’s happy to spend more than is absolutely necessary on anything. My very wealthy great-grandfather once stood outside a window at Harrods and said: “I could buy everything in that window. But I’m not going to.” That’s Yorkshire, where happiness is derived from not spending anything, ever.

Also, to spend the extra £515 means going shopping. And nothing makes me less happy than that. All I ever want to do in a shopping centre is try to drown myself in the ornamental fountain.

As far as I can tell, Historic England takes £87 million a year from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and, to sum up, I wonder if perhaps the money could be better spent. I’ve just done a quick bit of maths and it seems that £87 million would be enough to repair nearly two million potholes. And which would make you happier: that? Or a slightly dusty recollection in your head that you live quite near the Severn Valley railway?

Itinerary Help

London Sport News - Mon, 03/25/2024 - 17:29

I haven’t seen a itinerary on this sub for at least a few months.

Husband and I are planning a London trip (maybe August). It’s still in very early stages so I was wondering if you had any recommendations on a 4-5 day itinerary. It’s our first time so definitely want to hit most tourist spots but we’re flexible and like to walk around and explore as well.

Our interests are food (halal but open to pescatarian options too), museums, nature, monuments and any hidden gems. Husband likes sports and I like stationary/books and vintage shopping to be more specific as well.

On This Day In Michael Jackson HIStory - March 25th

London Sport News - Mon, 03/25/2024 - 12:42

1980- Michael is on the cover of Blues and Soul (UK) magazine

https://preview.redd.it/dpjtwnsjwiqc1.jpg?width=193&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5af98e52b1ad8118f8a5936d6c66c580fb0771dd

1981- Motown releases the album & the single “One Day In Your Life”. It consists of both solo and Jackson 5 tracks recorded with Motown. It was the first Jackson album released in the 1980s. Most of the tracks are from his 4th studio album, Forever, Michael (1975). The other songs were taken from Jackson 5 releases to pad the album's running time. Motown later admitted that the album was just a quick cash grab generated from the success of Off the Wall (1979). Michael does not promote the album in any way

1983- Michael debuted the Moonwalk at the recording of Motown 25:Yesterday,Today, Forever at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. This night also, symbolically, was the night he finally and definitively separated himself from the Jackson 5.

https://reddit.com/link/1bnlax9/video/4ersmzadxiqc1/player

The brothers reunited for the Motown 25 event on this day in 1983 to perform together, as Jermaine had left the group and Michael was already the biggest pop star in the world. Despite his meteoric rise, however, Michael still had one foot back in the Jackson 5

When you watch the performance of the Jackson 5 at the event, you can see Michael having to hold himself back as to only overshadow his brothers by about 10,000% and not 100,000%. He handles pretty much all of the singing and the camera almost never leaves him.

And then, after the Jackson 5 performance is done and Michael gets the solo spotlight to perform Billie Jean, he moonwalks for the first time.

https://preview.redd.it/ril3r8lixiqc1.jpg?width=610&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee0b12cab481cafa6b7a899ea0ba7f08e9285593

The crowd erupts. The symbolism of him gliding away backwards . . . across the stage and, really, away from his original family band . . . was unmistakable.

This wasn’t the last time the Jackson 5 would ever perform together, but it was clear they were done. They’d have one more album and tour together, mixing their songs and Michael’s solo stuff . . . really, it was a Michael Jackson tour with the Jackson 5 along for the ride.

After that, Michael left the group for good. The show aired two months later on May 16th

1985- Michael attends the futuristic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Starlight Express in London and meets the cast backstage

1988- Michael performs the 2nd of three Bad Tour concerts at McNichols Sports Arena (closed-1999) in Denver, Colorado

1991- Michael escorts Madonna to the 63rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, California, where she performs "Sooner Or Later (I Always Get My Man)" by Stephen Sondheim from the film Dick Tracy. Afterwards, they attend the after party at Spago

https://reddit.com/link/1bnlax9/video/n4c3zic0yiqc1/player

Speaking about the date later on, Madonna explained how it all came about.

“Michael was like, ‘Well who are you gonna go with?’ I looked at him and said, ‘I don’t know. You wanna go?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, that’d be great.’”

She added: “And then, yes, he took me home. You wanna know what happened after that? I’m not gonna tell you.”

"I mean, baby, I’ve been around,” she joked, saying that a glass of chardonnay helped the King of Pop to “loosen up,” transforming him into a “willing accomplice” and leading to “tongue and mouth kissing.”

Writing on Instagram, Madonna also looked back on the night, describing it as the “Best Date Ever"

1991 - The title of Michael’s new album is revealed to be Dangerous

1997-British magazine OK! gets a world exclusive by publishing the first ever official pictures of Michael & Debbie with their son Prince (at Neverland) accompanied by a candid interview of the couple

https://preview.redd.it/besmq0y3yiqc1.jpg?width=583&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eca2cdcccbaec1e8defba88bff5fe4d6280b2a3f

2001- Michael goes to Newark, New Jersey, with Frank Cascio & Rabbi Schmuley to distribute books to children for a Heal The Kids event to promote literacy. The event launched the Michael Jackson International Book Club, which aims to promote childhood reading and parental reading to kids

https://preview.redd.it/gnyhmbd6yiqc1.jpg?width=329&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d63c57f367f50e7ff03066441f67c9e621b0b914

2004 - Grand Jury selection begins in Santa Barbara

2005 - Trial day 20

Michael goes to court with Katherine & Joe. It proved to be a difficult day for jurors in the trial as prosecutors pored over relatively uninteresting fingerprint evidence.

https://preview.redd.it/9t0l3d98yiqc1.jpg?width=430&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78cdb2051c2f9fc38175f7048d2b380f14b6c625

2009 - Concert Promoter Leonard Rowe says that Michael had him prepare a letter (dated March 25, 2009) addressed to Randy Phillips, in which Michael advised that effective this day, "Leonard Rowe is my authorized representative" and Rowe also says that Michael wrote on the letter that he wanted Rowe to oversee all his finances. Rowe concludes that Phillips resented that he couldn't control Rowe, so Phillips brought back DiLeo and forces him on Michael and that if hedidn't accept it, that he would pull the plug on everything.

https://preview.redd.it/fng1uu2cyiqc1.jpg?width=594&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c19de4b57ee1575b1268f986c922a281266c028

Three months to the day before Michael died - Randy Phillips, CEO of AEG Live, wrote an email to another company executive, Paul Gongaware, saying:

"We need to pull the plug now. I will explain."

Gongaware denied that the email was a reference to calling off Jackson's This Is It concerts in London but instead was pointed at "pulling the plug on Karen Faye," Michael's hairstylist, makeup artist and longtime friend who had expressed fears about his poor health.

The email raises questions about how early people began sending out warnings about Michael's health.

2010 - A lawyer for Michael's father, Joe, said that he intends to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Conrad Murray within 90 days, claiming that the physician’s actions amounted to murder.

Brian Oxman, who represents Joe Jackson, said the amount of the powerful anesthetic propofol given to Jackson by Dr. Conrad Murray before his death “was reckless, and it amounts to second-degree murde"

24 M UK - Anyone down to have regular interesting conversations?

London Sport News - Mon, 03/25/2024 - 10:55

Aloha,

How’s it going?

I’m pretty bored so I’m on here, trying to see in anyone wants to have an interesting conversation about different things.

If you need a starter, feel free to read about me below.

Alternatively, I’ll ask you, what things in your life do you regret?

Anyways about me:

  • I’m 24 from London, UK

  • Born on Halloween, I’m a Scorpio if you’re interested in that kind of thing ;)

  • Unofficial job is being an Unqualified Reddit Therapist. I’ve talked to and possibly helped a lot of people in the last 6 years from Reddit. Don’t know how good my advice is.

  • I’d say I’m pretty open minded and good at giving advice and listening. Though I may give unfiltered advice and be straight up with you. If you can’t handle it, well then tough.

  • Mix of INTP and INFP personality types.

  • I spend a lot of time thinking. I often talk with myself and debate with myself and get my self to think in multiple perspectives.

  • I’m very lazy and pretty stupid at times. Sometimes I’ll just say dumb or stupid things. Although I’m really ambitious too.

  • I can be pretty arrogant, egotistical and sometimes narcissistic and obnoxious. If that does happen, I apologise. Being in your own bubble for too long can do that.

  • My humour is pretty diverse. From light hearted to dark. I laugh at my own jokes, so I’m very funny. I like to joke around a lot, and make fun of you if you’re not sensitive. I can be abit mean, just a heads up.

  • I am light brown, south Asian/Bengali, just wanted to get that out of the way, so if you’re not into that you know now.

  • I like working out and going on walks and runs… when I’m not lazy.

  • I’m mostly into football and basketball. Mostly watch highlights, watching whole matches is pretty boring. But I like alot of sports and getting to know them.

  • I haven’t really travelled anywhere interesting, but I hope I can do that more into the future. I’d like to visit all the continents and have a bucket list of countries I’d like to visit.

  • I like watching tv shows, movies and documentaries Related to Crime, Action, adventure, drama, fantasy, sci fi and more. Recommend me some shows and movies.

  • I watch a lot of YouTube as well on all kinds of stuff. About fitness, gaming, tech, personal cybersecurity, skincare, science, animals, video essays, documentaries, commentaries, men’s fashion, interior and house design, urban planning, cars, food and recipes, social experiments, pranks, late night shows, Cats and other animals, funny stuff and loads more.

  • I’m into universes like LOTR, GOT, Star Wars, Avatar (ATLA), Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Narnia, Percy Jackson, doctor who and a lot more.

  • Areas of interest: Data, Technology, Psychology, sociology, politics, all kinds of sciences mostly physics, philosophy and history.

  • I read from time to time. I used to write but not so much anymore. Maybe will get back into it in the future. I’d like to write a fantasy or sci fi or mystery thriller novel series one day. I’ve done Shakespeare acting before.

  • I’m into anime, manga and light novels. I’ve watched a lot, should probably do a list one day.

  • I’ve played games under PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo over the many years. But I primarily game on PC right now

  • My music taste is quite diverse, from Rock, Rap, Pop, Hip Hop, RnB, contemporary classical, EDM, Indie, orchestra, instrumental, synth and everything in between. I also listen to stuff from different countries too.

  • I’m allergic to some fruits and vegetables but I eat them anyway. I like a wide variety of food too and different cuisines.
