I know not everyone was able to attend the NF Summit this year for various reasons, but CTF (Children's Tumor Foundation) has recorded all the sessions and make them public on their YouTube.

I highly recommend watching the Keynote from Amit and the NF1 through the Lifespan talks. There is a session or video for everyone from NF patients, caregivers, friends, or advocates.

I was given the privilege via the Children’s Tumor Foundation and various donors from B the Difference Foundation to attend the NF Summit. ISEKAI CATEGORY LIST

Description: I created a categorization for isekais to help with organization and understanding how they are distributed. I usually make lists like this just for myself and save them in Excel. Now i also posting here as a contribution.

Just a few observations

A) - Romance: There is no category for romance, since the overwhelming majority of isekais with male protagonists and a good number of female protagonists have some degree of romance. The category would have so many items that it would lose its meaning.

B) - School/magic academy/nobles: there is no school category as it usually refers to an initial arc or training arc in which the protagonist prepares to face the main challenge that is already known or will be revealed during this arc. If the work is not canceled at the beginning, eventually the protagonists tend to leave the academy, so there is no reason to create a category of something that is temporary.

C) - Previous success of the protagonist: As interesting as it is to know whether the protagonist was a young man who stayed at home playing relationship simulators and watching redtube or whether he was an academic or director of a multinational, it also ends up being subjective. Firstly, because this is already taken into account in the "professions" category where the protagonists have occupations similar to those they had in the previous world. Secondly, not every work makes this clear. Thirdly, subjectivity falls on the age x potential factor. Ninomyia from Black Company is an adult who has been lucky in her business and lives off income, while Kaito from Yuusha Shoukan is a young college student in his third year. You can't judge that one is better than the other because one of them hasn't even been to the job market yet. Fourth, I would ultimately have to define what success is, given that for one it is money, for others it is comfort and for others it is family.

D) Primary/Secondary character: Another temporary feature. "Death flag"? "Otome Game"? "Estate developer"? "Noble with Appraisal skills"? Everyone knows that they will become the main characters of the plot eventually. The fact that they are secondary is just to give some development to the characters instead of starting OP or leading countries from the first chapter.

The isekai'd person/group have been transfered to have a goal in mind, be that kill someone/demon lord/hero or even something subjective as “save the world” or “Save the humans”, or even “save that people/family”. Its actually the MOST comom trope that exist in the isekai genre.

2 – Survival Isekai: There’s no mission, no king, no princess, you were released somewhere and need to survive and to adapt to the harsh world around you where every thing that move can kill. Could have some waifus or even harem after sometime.

4 - City/Territory Building (and similar) Isekai - Other unsual trope where MC should start to create/recreate a village, city, kingdom. This is similar with some aspects included in "Slow life category" and "reincarnated as a monster" since some monster like MC tend to start to create villages, and the same goes for some slow life MCs.

5 - Dungeon Master/Build Isekai: there’s not a mission to complete, nor a goal to achieve, but MC is obligated to kill/expel adventures and improve the dungeon power to be alive, otherwise if dont the dungeon core is destroyed they die. So fighting is not a option.

Hello! Planning our honeymoon for the end of August and could use some help. Deciding whether to fly into Liberia and split time between Samara/Playa Grande/Tamarindo area (still haven’t decided which or whether to hit multiple) and La Fortuna/Arenal (is it worth going during the rainy season?). OR to fly into San Jose and hangout on the beaches around Manuel Antonio and see some of the wildlife there.

We were originally looking to split the first half relaxing on the beaches and nice resort (but still do some surfing, yoga, massages, restaurants, snorkel, horseback, sunset tours etc) and the second half more rainforest closer to the volcano. We plan on having a car but really can’t decide if it’s worth flying into Liberia and doing more driving to rainforests with the potential iffy weather or flying San Jose and staying more so in the Manuel Antonio area. Planning on being there for 7-8days but probably lose a day or two with those being travel days.

Also open to other recs location wise and any nice resorts, restaurants, and must do activities! Thanks!

Like I stated, my uncle was murdered in San Antonio, TX in Dec of 1965. I sent a request to Bexar (pronounced Bear) county Sheriff's department for an open records request. What can I expect from that? Do you think they will still have police reports from? Do I need to request something else from the Sheriff's department if I want the crime scene reports? I also emailed the Medical Examiner for Bexar Co and asked for an autopsy report. Again, will that be available for 1965? I also want to get copies of the trial transcripts. Who do I need to get in contact for that and what court would a murder trial take place in? Is there anything else that I can request from Bexar Co about my uncle's murder? Thanks in advance.

The suite is nice but the best thing so far was the lady that checked me in. This hotel has been neglected and it’s a shame due to its potential to be similar to the Hyatt Regency Downtown/Tulsa which was only topped by the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio which is the best one I’ve seen yet I’ve never been. My wife went for a staycation with her best friend and it really is top notch(a suggestion for anyone visiting San Antonio/Our hometown) sorry for the wall of text and I will update by Friday after I make it to O’Hare to go home.

Found the floss-pick inside the shower sticking up from the drain and the towels(clean just checked in) stink and the bathroom smells like a nursing home oddly enough.
